Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public figures offered divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors last week. Conversing on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
