Barça Ready for First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
