American-Palestinian Youth Freed Following Nine-Month Period in Israel's Detention

A Palestinian-American youth having endured 270 days in imprisonment by Israel without charge gained freedom.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested in February within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.
The US state department applauded the teenager's freedom.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization right after being freed, according to close relatives.
According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.
Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"Right now, our priority is getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and cruel circumstances over several months."
The state department announced ongoing to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, demanding more be done to secure his release.
Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop from Florida, previously claimed Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.
He had not seen or communicated with his son following the detention, learning information solely about his son's condition via legal paperwork.
He stayed absent formal charges in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.
It is also home to mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced of serious terrorism offences and murder.
Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody currently imprisoned in Israel, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.
Subsequent to his liberation, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen who the Palestinian health ministry said died from beating by settlement residents amid clashes in July.
